"Ariel read tarot for me at a time when I felt very heartbroken, very raw, and very confused. But as she read my cards I slowly admitted to myself that I wasn’t confused. I just didn’t want to see what was in front if me. I didn’t want to see where I was.

When Ariel pulled the cards and built the picture layer by layer using their meanings and pictures and connections, I could see where I was in my life, clearly. You know how that happens when something is acknowledgment from an outside voice?

Those cards didn’t change what was happening with me- but they acknowledged where I was standing and I think people sometimes need their experiences to be acknowledged- to be witnessed- in order to feel not so crazy and alone.

Ariel’s reading went deeper and then did change things in the sense that she then pulled cards to see or explore, what could happen if my situation went one way and what could have happened if things didn’t implode the way that they had.

It was a powerful moment because I don’t know about you, but at times I get stuck thinking about all of the possibilities of ‘if I had only done something differently…’

The way that Ariel used the cards and read them gave me a glimpse of what could have been and what life could have looked like if I had gotten what I had wanted. It helped me question honestly, would I have wanted that after all?

It’s strange to be vulnerable and admit that you want to know the whys and the hows about what maybe you are trying to be strong and accepting about and to move on from. But I didn’t feel strange talking with Ariel and asking her to help me look at my situation from all angles.

She made me feel like I made sense and my questions made sense and my desire to know made sense too. She was willing to go deeper and deeper.

Ariel was lovely and sensitive and intuitive- gently asking me to expand, when she heard a hesitation. I felt like she gave me a tool to dig through what was covering up the way I was seeing and not seeing my own life and also provided multiple windows to look through in order to see different possibilities.

At one point I asked specific questions about a specific person and situation and the cards that Ariel pulled showed me a picture of what may come, but hadn’t yet.

Ariel read for me a month after that and the scenario she had seen with the cards the previous month was currently a reality.

It was amazing and beautiful, even though it wasn’t the outcome I had wanted in my life. The cards had prepared me that it was a possibility. And when Ariel read for me that second time, she gently suggested that we make that reading about me, not about the person that I had previously contacted her about. She heard what I needed and she once again opened up a world that I wasn’t seeing clearly.
